Ottawa Swans Curl for Charity

Ottawa Swans Curl for Charity

The Ottawa Swans contributed a large basket of non-perishable foods as well as a cash donation to the Ottawa Food Bank following the club’s annual curling bonspiel on Saturday 28 January.

Graciously hosted by the Ottawa Curling Club, the event brought the club’s extended family together for the first social event of what will be a big year in 2012.  All curlers contributed to the charity that helps the needy in the Ottawa community.

While the event was focused on philanthropy and socialising, club coach Chris MacLean was happy to see the competitive juices already flowing among the playing group.  “One thing is for certain, footy players should stick to playing footy.”, quipped coach MacLean.

All participants are deserving of thanks for their contributions, as is the Ottawa Curling Club for its assistance.
